New Prime Minister of Lesotho

The Right Honourable Dr Moeketsi Majoro is the Prime Minister of Lesotho. Dr. Majoro took the oath of office as Prime Minister on 20 May 2020, at a ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Maseru. He has previously served as Minister of Finance, and he was elected as a Member of the National Assembly in June 2017.

New Ambassador to Norway

On the 9th of May, 2019, Mr. Sekhulumi Paul Ntsoaole visited Oslo and presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Harald V of Norway, accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, of the Kingdom of Lesotho to Norway.

New Ambassador in Ireland

On July 3rd, 2018, Ntate S'khulumi Paul Ntsoaole did receive his Credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Lesotho to Ireland. In April His Majesty King Letsie III, appointed Ntate Ntsoaole to Ambassador Designate of Lesotho to Ireland. Ntate S'khulumi Paul Ntsoaole has background as former minister for Government of Lesotho, Minister of Trade and Industry, Cooperatives and Marketing and from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations to Lesotho. He has studied at universities in the United Kingdom and the United States. 

The Embassy of Lesotho in Dublin, is also accredited to the five Nordic countries on a non-resident basis, namely, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Sweden and Norway. (Photo: The Embassy, Dublin).

The office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho has announced that His Majesty King Letsie III has declared June 03, 2017 as date for the holding of National Assembly Elections.

Lesotho has not yet reached the possibility of allowing its nationals to vote outside of the country. There is no provisions for people to vote outside of The Kingdom of Lesotho, except for those who have registered as advanced voters.

Thanks to Ntate Phamotse

Regarding H.E. Ambassador Paramente Phamotse, the Government of Lesotho has determined that his period as Ambassador in Dublin, ends April 2, 2017. On this date he did depart from Ireland for good, to return to Lesotho marking the end of his tenure as Ambassador.
The Counsellor, Mr. Kutloano Pheko, has taking over as Charge D ’Affairs at The Embassy of The Kingdom of Lesotho in Dublin.
